HAPPY 1 YEAR BIRTHDAY KANE!!!

Kane is one BIG BIG BOY!!! Standing already at 26 1/2" tall, he is going to be a horse, just like his older brothers, Felon, Jones & Patriot!! Kane has had phenomenal feet that have NEVER failed him. He has a great disposition and gorgeous head.

Kane is a littermate brother to Chase, and Nitro. Chase will be making his way to sunny Texas very soon, and Nitro, of course, is our resident house dog/future show dog.

I expect that Kane will make his showing debut in 2010. I will be campaigning Kane & Nitro so I will likely start with one, continue campaigning until he is champion and then bring out the other. I haven't decided who will go first. We'll just see who is ready to roll by Winter Classic.

In the meantime, brother Chase has already hit the ring, qualifying for the UKC World Show with a Best Male of Show.

I update pix on my boys frequently so stop back by to see how Kane is growing out.

It's not often that a breeding comes along that just shakes the show ring to a volume that leaves even the "other" coonhound breed promoters in awe but I would venture a guess that the Dutch & Trippy is that cross. The first breeding produced FIVE National winning hounds. Everyone in the UKC show world will know at least one of these dogs by name. If they've campaigned at the big ones much, chances are that they know several.

This 2nd breeding has been a long time in the making & I am so incredibly pleased with the way these puppies have grown out. Choosing which two would stay at Tree Rizin' was like choosing from 7 CD's of your all-time favorite music--- impossible to choose.... but impossible to miss!!

I feel extremely blessed to have been able to repeat the cross that produced the hounds below & I have extremely high hopes for Kane & Nitro.
