Lil' Red Ridin' Hood (HOOD) is a 3 year old redbone female with excellent bloodlines, confirmation and drive. She is doing well in the woods and is shining on the bench. She is sired by GRNITECH GRCH Lee's Redhot Dusty and her dam is Sidearm Creek Bottom Risky Female.
Hood has been shown in many major events and has a slue of win credits, her latest being when she won GRAND CHAMPION FEMALE at the 2002 WINTER CLASSIC in Albany, GA and then got qualified for the UKC World.
She placed 3rd on the Pedigree Top Redbone Show Dogs of the Year for 2001. Hood had only 14 points on her when I bought her and I first showed her at the Kentucky State Championship in October so this is a huge accomplishment for us to move up in the ranks with so little time left in the year.
Hood has had one litter of puppies. This was UKC's first true "DUAL SIRE LITTER" as Hood was bred to Both of our boys! There were 2 boys off of Razor (Tree Rizin' Deacon Does It (Deacon -whom we kept) and Wildcliffs Razor Cut Genes (Levi) owned by Tracey Spillane & there is a male off of Ruger that lives in Oregon now ("Clyde") and his sister (off of Ruger) is named Tree Rizin' Talk Of The Town AKA Scandal and he was just sent to Linda & Dan Dunkel to be shown and loved.
An interesting note on Deacon is that Hood & Razor's genes really matched well on this cross - producing 60% fixed traits in Deacon. We can't wait to see how he turns out since he will likely produce his likeness.
These pups should prove to be Dual Purpose hounds and we are having such a blast watching them grow. It is going to be so interesting to see how different (or similar) they turn out by watching them grow up together with the same environment and same opportunities!
